Bailey's Butter Cake
INGREDIENTS
Cake
- 1 c butter, cubed, at room temperature
- 2 c sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 3 c flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 c Irish cream
Glaze
- 1/3 c butter
- 3/4 c sugar
- 2 Tbsp Irish cream
- 2 tsp vanilla
PREPARATION
- Heat oven to 350
- Grease bundt pan with butter very liberally
- Dust with flour and set aside.
- Place all cake ingredients in bowl of stand mixer and mix on low for 30 seconds.
- Increase to medium and mix 3 minutes.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake 65-75 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
- While cake is cooling, make glaze.
- Combine ingredients in saucepan over medium-low.
- Stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. DO NOT BOIL.
- Poke holes in cake while in pan with small, sharp knife.
- Pour glaze over cake in pan.
- Allow to cool completely, then invert onto serving plate.
