Beer-Cheese Kielbasa and Tortellini

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 9-oz package tortellini
  • 3/4 c water
  • 1/3 c flour
  • 1 c beer
  • 1/3 c sliced scallions
  • 3 Tbsp chili sauce
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 14-oz kielbasa, cut into half-moons
  • 1.5 c shredded cheddar

PREPARATION

  1. Fill mondo skillet halfway with water. Bring to boil.
  2. Cook tortellini for minimum time listed on package, drain in collander
  3. In measuring cup, whisk 3/4 c water with flour.
  4. Pour into skillet, stir in beer, scallions, chili sauce, mustard and salt.
  5. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer till thickened (about 1 minute)
  6. Fold in tortellini and kielbasa. Cover, cook on medium about 5 minutes.
  7. Fold in cheese, 1/2 c at a time, until melted. Remove from heat.
