---++ Celebration Cake ---+++ INGREDIENTS ---++++ Cake * 1 box devil's food cake mix * 1 box 4-serving size) chocolate instant pudding * 4 eggs * 1/3 c vegetable oil * 1 c liqueur * 1 c sour cream ---++++ Frosting * 1 c butter, softened * 4 oz cream cheese * 3 c powdered sugar * 1/4 c liqueur * 1 tsp vanilla ---++++ Glaze * 4 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped * 1/2 c heavy whipping cream * 1/4 c light corn syrup * 2 tsp vanilla * 1/3 c toasted nuts ---+++ PREPARATION 1 Heat oven to 375 1 Spray 2 9" layer pans with cooking spray 1 In large bowl, beat all cake ingredients with mixer on medium 5 minutes. 1 Pour batter into pans. 1 Bake 35 - 45 minutes. or until toothpick comes out clean. 1 Cool ten minutes in pan, then remove from pan to cooling racks, cool completely. 1 In large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese on medium until light and fluffy. 1 Reduce speed to low; add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time. 1 Add 1/4 c liqueur and 1 tsp vanilla. 1 Beat until spreadable. 1 Place 1 layer on plate. 1 Spread with 1/3 frosting. 1 Top with second layer. Frost with thin layer to seal in crumbs. 1 Refrigerate 30 minutes--top with remaining frosting. 1 Place chopped chocolate in small bowl. 1 In small saucepan, heat whipping cream over medium until small bubbles form around edged. 1 Pour over chocolate in bowl; let stand one minute. 1 Stir with whisk until chocolate is melted. 1 Add 2 tsp vanilla and corn syrup. Stir until smooth. 1 Let stand 10 minutes to thicken. 1 Pour glaze over cake, letting some run down sides; sprinkle nuts around edge of cake. 1 Store in refrigerator.
