Cheeseburger Lasagna
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 3 Tbsp instant minced onion
- 1 can (15-oz) tomato sauce
- 1.5 c water
- 1/2 c ketchup
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 egg
- 1 15-oz container ricotta
- 2 c shredded cheddar-American blend
- 12 oven-ready lasagna noodles
- 1 c shredded cheddar
- 1 c shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, sliced (optional)
- dill pickle slices (optional)
PREPARATION
- Spray 13" x 9" pan with cooking spray
- In mondo skillet, cook beef and onion till beef is brown; drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce, water, ketchup, and mustard.
- Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat egg with fork or whisk.
- Stir in the ricotta and cheese blend.
- Put 1 c meat mixture in bottom of prepared pan.
- Top with 4 noodles; spread with 1/2 the cheese mixture, then 1.5 c beef mixture.
- Repeat layers.
- Top with 4 noodles, remaining beef mixture and cheddar cheese.
- Cover with foil. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
- Heat oven to 375.
- Bake lasagna, covered, 45 minutes; uncover and bake 25-35 minutes longer or until bubbly.
- Remove from oven; cover with foil and let stand 5-10 minutes before cutting.
- Just before serving, top with lettuce, tomato, and pickle, if using.
