Crockpot Lasagna
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb bulk Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 15-oz cans Italian-style tomato sauce
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 c shredded Mozzarella
- 1 15-oz container ricotta
- 1 c grated Parmesan
- 15 oven-ready lasagna noodles
PREPARATION
- Cook sausage and onion in mondo skillet over medium 6-8 minutes until sausage is no longer pink.
- Drain; stir in tomato sauce, basil, and salt.
- Mix 1 cup of the mozzarella with the ricotta and Parmesan.
- Spoon 1/4 of the sausage mixture into large crockpot. Top with 5 noodles, broken to fit.
- Spread with half the cheese mixture, and 1/4 of the sausage mixture.
- Top with 5 noodles, remaining cheese mixture, and 1/4 of the sausage mixture.
- Top with remaining noodles and remaining sausage mixture.
- Cover. Cook on low 4-6 hours.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top. Cover and let stand 10 minutes.
