Gouda, Bacon, and Apple Mac & Cheese
INGREDIENTS
- 4 c shells
- 4 c milk
- 1 c shredded Gouda (about 4 oz)
- 1 c shredded white cheddar (4 oz)
- 1/2 c bacon, diced, cooked, drained
- 1/2 c apple butter
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh rosemary or 2 tsp dried
- salt & pepper to taste
PREPARATION
- Bring pasta and milk to simmer.
- Reduce heat and cook 15-20 minutes until pasta is tender and most of milk is absorbed.
- Stir in remaining ingredients. Remove from heat.
- Let rest 5 minutes to thicken, then stir before serving
