Pecan Pie (cast iron skillet)
INGREDIENTS
- 1 refrigerated pie crust
- 1 Tbsp powdered sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1-1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c chopped pecans
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp milk
- 1-12 tsp bourbon
- 1-1/2 c pecan halves
PREPARATION
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Fit pie crust in large (10") skillet.
- Dust pie crust with powdered sugar.
- Whisk eggs in a large bowl until foamy; Whisk in brown sugar and other ingredients except pecan halves.
- Pour mixture into pie crust; top with pecan halves.
- Bake at 350 for 30 minutes; reduce heat to 325 and bake additional 30 minutes.
- Turn oven off and let pie stay in oven 3 hours.
