Rice Pudding
INGREDIENTS
- 1 quart milk
- 1 cup white rice
- 6 Tbsp sugar
- pinch salt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Toppings
PREPARATION
- Place milk, rice, sugar, and salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved.
- Lower to a bare simmer and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender and the mixture thickens, about 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Taste, adding additional sugar or toppings as desired.
