Borscht

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 c beef broth
  • 1 14 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 6 c shredded red cabbage
  • 4 large beets, peeled and cubed
  • 1 c sliced carrot
  • 1 c sliced onion
  • 1 c diced turnip
  • 1 c diced potato
  • 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • sour cream

PREPARATION

  1. Combine everything but salt, pepper and sour cream in slow cooker.
  2. cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
  3. Salt and pepper to taste
  4. Serve with sour cream.
