Slow Cooker Peasant Sauce
INGREDIENTS
- 3 cans (14.5oz) Italian diced tomatoes
- 2 handfuls of carrot shreds
- 2 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 6-oz can tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning, mortared
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp jarlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- cooked meat of choice
PREPARATION
- In the locking crock, combine everything but meat
- Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4.
- Remove bay leaf. Apply stick blender.
- Add meat. Cook on LOW 2 hours or HIGH 1 hour
