Winter Squash and Apples
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 butternut squash
- 2 apples cored and sliced
- 1 onion, quartered and sliced
- 1 1/2 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 c brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
PREPARATION
- Combine salt and pepper in small bowl, set aside.
- Peel, seed, and cut squash into pieces, 1-2 inches.
- Place squash, apples and onion in slow cooker.
- Sprinkle with salt & pepper, stir well.
- Cook on LOW 6-7 hours.
- Just before serving, stir in butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
