How to Make Ice Cream

  1. You will need approx 8-12 lbs of ice and 3 cups of rock salt to make ice cream. (Plus 4 lbs of ice and 1 cup of salt to harden ice cream)
  2. Prepare your favorite recipe. 
  3. Pour ice cream mixture into canister and insert dasher.  (Hot stuff needs to be chilled) 
  4. Place cover on canister and make sure it's snapped firmly.
  5. Place filled canister in center of bucket.
  6. Assemble motor over canister with dasher shaft inserted into the hole in the bottom of the motor.  Turn motor counter-clockwise to engage and lock the motor onto the bucket.  Place in an area with good drainage.
  7. Plug in.   Allow ice cream to churn for 1-2 minutes before adding ice to the bucket.
  8. Distribute about 1-2" of ice around canister and sprinkle with 1/2 cup rock salt.  Repeat layers until canister is covered.
  9. Churn for 20-40 minutes---till motor stops or nearly stops.
  10. Unplug.  Remove motor by turning it clockwise.  Remove any salt, ice or water from the cover before removing the cover.
  11. Lift out dasher and scrape clean with rubber spatula.
  12. To harden ice cream, make to pack it in canister and cover canister.  Plug cover. 
  13. Drain water from the bucket through drain hole.
  14. Add additional layers of ice and salt covering canister and cover.
  15. For additional insulation cover with a towel or newspaper.  Allow 1-2 hours.

How to Use the Rice Cooker

For white/mixed, porridge, brown, sushi, quick cooking rice

  • Fill measuring cup with rice and level with a knife
  • Rinse if necessary
  • Put rice in cooker
  • Fill to appropriate water line
  • Press Menu until desired option is shown
  • Press the Cooking key
  • Stir when it beeps
