Brisket with Horseradish Gravy
Ingredients

vegetable oil |
1 5-lb |
beef brisket |

onions, chopped |
4 cloves |
garlic |
1 Tbsp |
paprika |
1 tsp |
thyme |
1 tsp |
salt |
1/4 c |
flour |
1.5 c |
beef stock |
2 Tbsp |
horseradish |
1 Tbsp |
Dijon mustard |
1/4 c |
sliced green onion |
1/2 c |
whipping cream |
Heat oil and brown brisket on both sides. Put in crock
On medium heat, cook onions and cook until softened. Add garlic and seasonings and stir and cook one minute. Sprinkle flour over mixture in pan, cook, stirring, for one minute. Add beef stock and cook till thickened, stirring. Pour over brisket
Cook on low for 12 hours. Transfer brisket to a deep platter or 13x9" dish. Add horseradish, onion, mustard and cream to pan, stir, then pour over meat.
