Cabbage Unstuffed

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp EVOO
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped
  • 2 14.5oz cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 8oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

PREPARATION

  1. In a large skillet, heat EVOO over medium, Add beef and onion.
  2. Cook, stirring to break up meat, until the meat is browned.
  3. Add garlic and cook one minute.
  4. Add cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, pepper and salt.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes, until cabbage is tender.
