German Apple Pie

Pie Ingredients

2 pie crusts
1/4 c raisins
3/4 lb apples, sliced thinly
3/4 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Topping Ingredients

3/4 c brown sugar
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
3 Tbsp flour
1/4 c chopped pecans

Line a 9" pie plate with one pie crust. Fill with apples. Sprinkle with lemon juice and raisins. Combine spices and sugar in small bowl, sprinkle over apples.

Blend brown sugar, flour and butter in a small bowl until crumbs form. Mix in pecans. Sprinkle about 2/3 of mixture over apples.

Top with other crust. Crimp edges. Then sprinkle remaining topping on top. Bake at 450 for ten minutes, then 350 for 40 minutes.
