Granola

INGREDIENTS

  • 3½ c rolled oats
  • 2 c sliced or chopped raw almonds
  • 1 c raw sunflower seeds
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • ½ c honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla

PREPARATION

  1. Heat the oven to (it says) 250°. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a large bowls, mix the oats, almonds, sunflower seeds, spices, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a small pot over low heat, combine butter and honey. When the butter is completely melted, stir in the vanila.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ones and mix thoroughly.
  5. Using a rubber spoonula, spread the mixture onto the baking sheet so it's evenly distributed. Bake until golden brown, about 75 minutes.
  6. Let cool completely, then crumble and store in bags.
