Mark and Barb's Beer Brats

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 bratwurst
  • 3 onions, cut in half and sliced thickly
  • 3 bottles beer, or enough to cover everything

PREPARATION

  1. Place the onions and brats in large skillet.
  2. Pour beer over until the onions and brats are covered.
  3. Heat over medium-high to a simmer. Reduce heat and simmer until 170.
  4. Remove brats.
  5. Cook onions until beer is almost cooked off.
  6. Add brats back, heat on medium until hot.
  7. Serve on buns with mustard.
