Marsala Pork Chops
INGREDIENTS
- 2 tsp EVOO
- 4 pork chops
- 2 Tbsp AP flour
- 6 sliced bacon, diced
- 1 leek, sliced
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 1/2 c marsala or sweet red wine
- 1/2 c chicken stock
- 1/2 c heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste.
PREPARATION
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in mondo skillet over medium.
- Cook chops until brown on both sides and cooked through..
- Remove and keep warm.
- Add bacon to skillet, Saute till crisp.
- Add leek and shallot; cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir Marsala and stock into skillet; cook 15 minutes.
- Whisk flour into cream; stir into skillet.
- Cook 5 minutes, until thickened.
- Return pork chops to pan. Simmer until heated through.
