Mississippi Roast

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (4 pound) beef chuck roast
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 5 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 (1 counce) packet dry au jus mix (brown gravy mix works, too)

PREPARATION

  1. Place roast in slow cooker
  2. Add butter, peppers, and mixes
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours
  4. Served with mashed potatoes and gravy made from pan drippings
