Pasta with Sausage and Cream

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage
  • 1/2 c heavy cream
  • 1 lb pasta
  • Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION

  1. Bring salted water to boil for the pasta.
  2. Meanwhile, heat butter in a skillet over medium. Crumble sausage into melting butter.
  3. Add cream and adjust mixture so it simmers gently.
  4. Cook pasta till tender, but not mushy.
  5. Reserve a cup of pasta water and drain.
  6. Toss the pasta with the sauce, adding reserved water if necessary.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Add parmesan. and serve.
