Pasta with Sausage and Cream
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage
- 1/2 c heavy cream
- 1 lb pasta
- Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION
- Bring salted water to boil for the pasta.
- Meanwhile, heat butter in a skillet over medium. Crumble sausage into melting butter.
- Add cream and adjust mixture so it simmers gently.
- Cook pasta till tender, but not mushy.
- Reserve a cup of pasta water and drain.
- Toss the pasta with the sauce, adding reserved water if necessary.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add parmesan. and serve.
