Pecan Pie (cast iron skillet)
INGREDIENTS
1 pie crust (refrigerated or homemade)
1 Tbsp powdered sugar
4 large eggs
1-1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c chopped pecans
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp milk
1-12 tsp bourbon
1-1/2 c pecan halves
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 350.
Fit pie crust in large (10") skillet.
Dust pie crust with powdered sugar.
Whisk eggs in a large bowl until foamy; Whisk in brown sugar and other ingredients except pecan halves.
Pour mixture into pie crust; top with pecan halves.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes; reduce heat to 325 and bake additional 30 minutes.
Turn oven off and let pie stay in oven 3 hours.
