Slow Roasted Cornish Hens

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Cornish game hens
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 small onion, halved

PREPARATION

  1. In a small bowl, stir thyme, basil and lemon pepper together.
  2. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of seasoning into the cavity of each hen.
  3. Place 1/2 onion in each hen.
  4. Sprinkle 1 tsp seasoning on the outside of each hen.
  5. Wrap each hen in foil.
  6. Place in large slow cooker.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 8-9 hours.
  8. Carefully open foil to avoid burns.
  9. Let hens rest five minutes before serving. Remove skin.
