Slow Roasted Cornish Hens
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Cornish game hens
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 1 small onion, halved
PREPARATION
- In a small bowl, stir thyme, basil and lemon pepper together.
- Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of seasoning into the cavity of each hen.
- Place 1/2 onion in each hen.
- Sprinkle 1 tsp seasoning on the outside of each hen.
- Wrap each hen in foil.
- Place in large slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8-9 hours.
- Carefully open foil to avoid burns.
- Let hens rest five minutes before serving. Remove skin.
