Strawberry Cobbler
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 3/4 cup sugar, divided
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled, cleaned, and cut into quarters
- 1/2 cup water
PREPARATION
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Pour melted butter into a 1 1/2 qt baking dish
- In a large bowl, combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and milk then pour evenly over the butter.
- In a separate bowl, combine strawberries, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, and water; spoon evenly over flour-milk layer. DO NOT STIR.
- Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden.
