Teriyaki Beef
Ingredients
- 2 lbs round steak
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 c soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 c water
- 2 carrots cut in thin strips
- 8 mushrooms, sliced
- 2 green bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 8oz can sliced water chestnuts
Preparation
Cut steak into thin strips and brown in oil.
Add water, soy sauce, sugar, pepper and garlic. Cook and simmer 45 minutes.
Dissove cornstarch in water, stir into sauce. Cook and stir until thick.
Add carrot strips and mushrooms simmer gently 2 minutes
Remove from heat and add bell pepper, onion and water chestnuts
Freeze.
Cooking
Thaw. Heat until hot and bubbly. Serve with hot rice.
