Tommen's Baked Apple Cheese Tart
What you need
- 1 pkg Puff Pastry
- 1 beaten egg
- 6 strips chopped bacon
- 1/4 cup apple butter
- 6 oz brie 1/4" slices
- 2 apples worth Granny Smith cubes
- 2 tbsp Grated parmesean
make it
- Preheat oven to 400F and lightly grease baking sheet
- Roll out puff pastry and trim to 12" square
- Place on baking sheet, and brush egg along edge, leaving ~1/2" border
- Fold edges in, making 1/2" lip, and pierce center of pastry with fork
- Cover with plastic and chill for 30 minutes
- Cook bacon in medium skillet until it begins to brown, and drain
- Spread apple butter over puff pastry
- Arrange brie, apples, and bacon over the apple butter, and dust with parmesean
- Bake 30-40 minutes, or until pastry is golden, and apples are tender
- Cool 5 minutes before serving
