Turtle Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 16-oz box brownie mix
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 20 soft caramels, unwrapped
- whipped cream and/or vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Preparation
Use a 4 or 6 quart crock with an oven-safe dish inside.
In a mixing bowl, combine brownie mix, egg, water and oil. Stir in chips and nuts. Pour into your oven-safe dish and push the caramels halfway into the top of the batter.
Put 1/2 to 1 cup of water in the bottom of your crock and set the dish into it. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours until the middle is set and it starts to pull away from the sides of the pan. Unplug and leave dish in covered crock for 1 hour. Serve warm
