Bailey's Butter Cake

INGREDIENTS

Cake

  • 1 c butter, cubed, at room temperature
  • 2 c sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 3 c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 c Irish cream

Glaze

  • 1/3 c butter
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Irish cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla

PREPARATION

  1. Heat oven to 350
  2. Grease bundt pan with butter very liberally
  3. Dust with flour and set aside.
  4. Place all cake ingredients in bowl of stand mixer and mix on low for 30 seconds.
  5. Increase to medium and mix 3 minutes.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake 65-75 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
  8. While cake is cooling, make glaze.
  9. Combine ingredients in saucepan over medium-low.
  10. Stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. DO NOT BOIL.
  11. Poke holes in cake while in pan with small, sharp knife.
  12. Pour glaze over cake in pan.
  13. Allow to cool completely, then invert onto serving plate.
