Cheeseburger Lasagna
INGREDIENTS
1.5 lbs ground beef
3 Tbsp instant minced onion
1 can (15-oz) tomato sauce
1.5 c water
1/2 c ketchup
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
1 egg
1 15-oz container ricotta
2 c shredded cheddar-American blend
12 oven-ready lasagna noodles
1 c shredded cheddar
1 c shredded lettuce
1 tomato, sliced (optional)
dill pickle slices (optional)
PREPARATION
Spray 13" x 9" pan with cooking spray
In mondo skillet, cook beef and onion till beef is brown; drain.
Stir in tomato sauce, water, ketchup, and mustard.
Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat egg with fork or whisk.
Stir in the ricotta and cheese blend.
Put 1 c meat mixture in bottom of prepared pan.
Top with 4 noodles; spread with 1/2 the cheese mixture, then 1.5 c beef mixture.
Repeat layers.
Top with 4 noodles, remaining beef mixture and cheddar cheese.
Cover with foil. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
Heat oven to 375.
Bake lasagna, covered, 45 minutes; uncover and bake 25-35 minutes longer or until bubbly.
Remove from oven; cover with foil and let stand 5-10 minutes before cutting.
Just before serving, top with lettuce, tomato, and pickle, if using.
