---++ Smoky Tomato Bisque ---+++ INGREDIENTS * 2-1/2 c beef stock or broth * 1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes * 1 6-oz can tomato paste * 2 small ham hocks * 1 large onion, chopped * 1 medium potato, cubed * 1 carrot, sliced * 1 small red bell pepper * 2 ribs celery, sliced * 2 tsp jar garlic * 1 tsp dried thyme * 1/2 tsp ground allspice * 1/2 tsp curry powder * 1-1/2 c milk * 2 Tbsp cornstarch * 1 tsp sugar * salt and pepper to taste ---+++ PREPARATION 1. In slow cooker, combine all ingredients, except milk, cornstarch, sugar, salt and pepper. 1. Cover and cook on high 4-5 hours. 1. Discard pork hocks. Add 1 cup milk and blend with an immersion blender until smooth. 1. Cover and cook on high 10 minutes. 1. Combine remaining 1/2 cup milk, cornstarch, and sugar. 1.
