---++ Top Me Twice Cake ---+++ Cake: | 2 c. | flour | | 1 c | sugar | | 1 tsp | baking soda | | 1 tsp | salt | | 1 13.5oz. can | crushed pineapple, undrained (not the little can, but the larger size) | | 1 tsp. | vanilla | | 2 | eggs | ---+++ Topping: | 1/2 c | brown sugar | | 1/2 c | chopped nuts | ---+++ Sauce: | 1/2 c | butter | | 1/2 c | cream or half-n-half | | 1/2 c | sugar | | 1/2 tsp | vanilla | Grease bottom only of a 9" square pan. Combine all cake ingredients at low speed until blended. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour into pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Just before cake is done, prepare sauce: melt butter, add cream, sugar and vanilla; mix thoroughly. When cake is done, pour hot sauce over warm cake.
