---++ Whiskey Fudge ---+++ INGREDIENTS * 5 c sugar (2 lbs) * 2 sticks unsalted butter * 1 c milk * 1 1/2 tsp vanilla * 25 large marshmallows, ripped in half * 11.5 oz good 60% cocoa bittersweet chips * 2 1/2 c powdered sugar * 3/4 c good whiskey (you *will* be able to taste it) ---+++ PREPARATION 1. Whisk whiskey with powdered sugar--set aside. 1. Foil and butter a 13" x 9" or larger pan. 1. Put sugar, butter, milk and vanilla in Dutch oven 1. Bring to a boil, stirring steadily. 1. Boil exactly 3 minutes. 1. Remove from heat. 1. Add marshmallows and chocolate, stirring until all is melted. 1. Give whiskey mixture a quick stir, then add to the pot, stirring until incorporated. 1. Pour into prepared pan. 1. Chill. Let mellow for a day before cutting.
