Winter Squash and Apples

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 butternut squash
  • 2 apples cored and sliced
  • 1 onion, quartered and sliced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

PREPARATION

  1. Combine salt and pepper in small bowl, set aside.
  2. Peel, seed, and cut squash into pieces, 1-2 inches.
  3. Place squash, apples and onion in slow cooker.
  4. Sprinkle with salt & pepper, stir well.
  5. Cook on LOW 6-7 hours.
  6. Just before serving, stir in butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
