Pierogi Skillet
Ingredients
1/2 lb |
diced bacon |
1 |
onion, chopped |
27oz |
sauerkraut, rinsed & squeezed dry |
1 sm |
cabbage, shredded |
1/2 tsp |
pepper |
5 c. |
uncooked egg noodles |
6 Tbsp |
butter |
1 1/2 tsp |
salt |
In a large pan, cook bacon, till almost crisp, add onion. Cook till bacon is crisp and onion tender, Drain.
Add sauerkraut, cabbage and pepper -- cover and simmer 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook noodles. Drain. Stir noodles, butter and salt into cabbage mixure and simmer 30 minutes more.
