Slow Cooker Peasant Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cans (14.5oz) Italian diced tomatoes
  • 2 handfuls of carrot shreds
  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 6-oz can tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning, mortared
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 Tbsp jarlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • cooked meat of choice

PREPARATION

  1. In the locking crock, combine everything but meat
  2. Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4.
  3. Remove bay leaf. Apply stick blender.
  4. Add meat. Cook on LOW 2 hours or HIGH 1 hour
